The film depicts the experiences of a woman that has Alzheimer's disease, and the effect it has on her immediate family. Her growing Alzheimer's-induced confusion is presented in the film through the use of transitions that jump back and forth through the life of the patient, simulating the kind of sensory events that haunt an Alzheimer's patient.
